Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Ontario Certified Teacher
As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and an Ontario Certified Teacher, I wholeheartedly believe that mental health and learning go hand-in-hand. By blending mental health and learning supports, I help clients build a strong foundation for future success, and empower them to build resilience, achieve their goals, and thrive in all aspects of life.
The best part of my work is watching children and youth develop confidence, overcome challenges, and build the skills they need for a successful transition to adulthood.
Children and youth present at therapy for a variety of reasons, often linked to emotional, behavioural, social, or academic challenges. Many of these concerns are interconnected, and therapy can help develop coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and resilience to navigate challenges effectively.
I am passionate about working with children and youth, whatever their needs, but I have a particular interest in supporting those whose mental health or behavioural challenges are affecting academic success or whose academic struggles are negatively impacting their overall well-being.
Parents and caregivers seek therapy for many reasons, often driven by the challenges of supporting a child with mental health, behavioural, or academic difficulties. They may feel overwhelmed, stressed, or uncertain about how to best help their child while also managing their own well-being.
I support caregivers because their well-being directly impacts a child's mental health and success, and I believe that empowered, supported caregivers create healthier, more resilient families.
Educators might seek therapy to manage the stress, emotional demands, and burnout that often come with supporting students' needs. They may struggle with classroom challenges, compassion fatigue, or balancing their personal and professional well-being.
I support educators because they play a vital role in shaping children's development, and by helping them navigate their own challenges, I aim to foster healthier learning environments where both teachers and students can thrive.
